Join us for a FREE concert in the Reagan Library’s main courtyard by the Song of the Angels Flute Orchestra (SAFO), a unique and expansive flute ensemble based in Los Angeles. Founded by Frederick Staff and currently under the artistic direction of Charles Fernandez, SAFO features an impressive range of flutes spanning the entire flute family. This includes Piccolos, C flutes, Alto and Bass flutes, a Contrabass flute, a F Contrabass flute – reportedly the only one in the world, and a Double Contrabass flute – one of only four in existence worldwide.

SAFO is distinguished not only by its rare instrumentation but also by its commitment to high-level performance and innovative programming. The ensemble typically gives six to ten concerts per season, bringing a rich and often ethereal flute sound to audiences across the Los Angeles area.

Admission into the Reagan Library is not included. If you would like to tour, the museum closes at 5:00 p.m. and an admission ticket would need to be purchased upon arrival.

Tickets to the Cowboys exhibition are not included as part of this event and must be purchased separately at reaganfoundation.org/cowboys. The exhibition closes at 5:00 p.m. every day. Cowboys: History & Hollywood takes visitors on a journey through the reality and the cinematic allure of the American cowboy—an enduring symbol of strength, self-reliance, and freedom. Blending true Western history with Hollywood mythmaking, the exhibition features authentic gear, rare photographs, historic artifacts, and memorabilia from classic Western films that shaped the cowboy image we know today
