Astronaut Ron Garan - A veteran of two space missions and former International Space Station flight engineer, Garan spent 178 days in orbit. He is renowned for sharing the transformative “orbital perspective,” highlighting how viewing Earth from space reshapes our understanding of humanity, sustainability, and global cooperation.
Astronaut Jannicke Mikkelsen - Cinematographer, director, and astronaut, Mikkelsen is known for pioneering immersive visual storytelling and advancing the intersection of space, technology, and human experience. Her work bridges cutting-edge exploration with artistic vision.
Author Frank White - Author of The Overview Effect, White introduced the term that has become central to how astronauts describe the cognitive shift experienced when seeing Earth from space. His work continues to influence space philosophy, policy, and culture worldwide.
Actress Nadine Nicole - Known for her role in The Expanse, Nicole brings the spirit of science fiction to Yuri’s Night, celebrating how storytelling inspires future explorers, engineers, and dreamers.
Tickets for the featured program are $275 per person. Complimentary reserved parking at Griffith Observatory is included.
