The display was started by students in 2008 Alumnus Ryan Sawtelle ('09), Creator of Pepperdine’s Waves of Flags, Continues to Give Back to the Veteran Community | Newsroom | Pepperdine University

In addition to our annual remembrance, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. We pause to remember those we lost, honor the heroes who served, and reflect on the resilience and unity that continue to define our nation. The ceremony will feature remarks and reflections by members of the Pepperdine community.

There is no cost to attend the remembrance ceremony, but registration is encouraged. We recommend that attendees arrive early to secure seating and allow the ceremony to begin promptly. Attendees are also invited to visit the Reflection Station to write messages of remembrance on provided cards and attach them to any flagpole.
