A memorial Mass for 13-year-old Oscar Omar Hernandez will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church – located at 4954 Santa Monica Blvd. in Los Angeles – on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 3 p.m.
A funeral will be held at San Fernando Mission, at a date yet to be announced.
The family was originally from Honduras and immigrated to America over the past ten years. Oscar was the youngest child of Oscar Daniel Hernandez and Gladys Bautista. He had two older brothers Alejandra Hernandez and Daniel Hernandez; and sister Alejandra Hernandez. They lived in Sun Valley and Oscar attended Sun Valley Magnet School. A Go-Fund-Me account has reached 95% of their $30,000 goal.
