Cultural Park Spotlight
Each spring the Cultural Park comes alive with color, thanks to the wide variety of native wildflowers in bloom. Among them you’ll find Tidy Tips, Canyon Lupine, Chick Lupine, California Poppy, Birds Eye Gillia, Yarrow, Blue-eyed Grass, Sugar Bush, and Chia.

If you are strolling through and snapping photos from your visit, please be sure to tag us on Facebook and Instagram at @sychumashmuseum!

The next time you are looking for a unique gift stop by the Museum Gift Shop and explore our incredible offerings! We proudly feature many Santa Ynez Chumash artisans, including a unique assortment of pottery, jewelry, books and prints by artist Raymond Ventura. Also featured is the art work of Beau Armenta.  You will also find beautiful new creations from members of the Native Village of Eyak in Cordova, Alaska. Our Museum Gift Shop inventory changes often, so be sure to stop by and see what’s new during your next visit!

The Gift Shop is open during regular museum hours Thursday-Sunday, and museum admission is not required to explore the shop.

First, we are just two months away from celebrating the first anniversary of the museum’s opening. This special milestone will be commemorated with a brand new Temporary Exhibit unveiling, the official launch of our new audio tour, and the introduction of a brand new monthly lecture series that will take place the second Thursday of each month. We will be sharing additional information as these events get closer, both here and through our social media channels. Stay tuned for details!
