New Director announced at McGroarty Arts Center

The Board of Directors is excited to announce their new Director, Emma Zent-Camins. 

We are sad to announce that Annette Bethers has decided to move on from McGroarty Arts Center (MAC) to focus on her consulting work. We are so grateful for the two years of hard work she poured into MAC increasing our class offerings, starting new workshops and programs, and growing our reach in the community.

The Board of Directors is excited to announce our new Director, Emma Zent-Camins.

Emma Zent-Camins grew up in her family's community theater in Bakersfield, CA, surrounded by artists and creatives. 

  • Graduated from UC Davis with a double-major in English and History,
  • Interned at the Disneyland Resort and then continued her career in Guest Relations and Disney Vacation Club. 
  • 2021 she received a graduate degree in Children's Literature from Pennsylvania State University.
  • Emma then became the Exhibits & Art Education Coordinator at the Festival of Arts of Laguna Beach
    • She supported a summer-long juried art show
    • Focused on drawing together the Orange County arts education community and supporting the Permanent Art Collection
    • Developed workshops that focus on accessible art for all.
