The Tedious Processing of Ballots

 Sheriff Deputies transport the voted ballots from the Check-in Centers by car, helicopter
or boat to the BPC. Ballots come in from as far away as Lancaster, Palmdale and Catalina
Island.  Between 10:30 – 11:30 PM a large number of ballots begin to arrive at the BPC.

The statistics for Los Angeles County - on the Registrar recorders website indicate:

  • Vote Centers
    • 6/2/26:  646 Vote Centers were open for in-person voting or to return a mail-in ballot on Election Day 09-20260602_election-day-(1).pdf 6/2/26
    • 5/28/26: 524 additional Vote Centers will open on Saturday, May 30  daily from 10 AM to 7 PM 08-20260530_all-vote-centers-open.pdf - bringing the total to 646 Vote Centers
    • 5/21/26: 122 Vote Centers opened from 10 AM to 7 PM for in-person voting, voter registration, and Vote by Mail ballot returns
  • 5,824,445 registered voters
