The Sunland-Tujunga Fourth of July Parade was defunded by the City of Los Angeles.

It is with great sadness that we convey that we are unable to host the 4th of July Parade this year.

However, city budget cuts for this fiscal year have put the patriotic parade in serious jeopardy. In fact, the Rotary Club was sadly resigned to having to cancel, until a huge outpouring of community support challenged the news of the cancellation. Arnieville will pledge $5,000 if the community steps up and we celebrate our 4th of July parade 250th anniversary.

Additionally, if community members want to let the city know how important the parade is to the San Fernando Valley area, they can sign this Petition · July 4th Parade TO OUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES - and try to convince the city to reverse the budget cuts, if not for this year than hopefully at least for future parades.
