Rumors of Waste Management Simi Receiving Lineage Debris?

The Simi Valley landfill received Emergency waivers to accept the Pacific Palisades/Eaton debris. No waivers have been announced yet, to receive Lineage waste.

85 million pounds of spoiled frozen food is said to exist as a result of the Lineage Warehouse fire in Boyle Heights. 

The Simi Valley Landfill Location 

  • Received Waivers to accept the Palisade/Eaton Fire waste. No similar waiver has been publicized as being issued for Public Notices - Ventura County Resource Management Agency  *
  • E.J. Harrison & Sons and Athens Services handle residential and commercial waste collection
  • Waste Management (WM) handles commercial waste


Los Angeles Sanitation (LASAN)  is directed to

LADBS and LASAN shall require the submission of a comprehensive Remediation and Cleanup Plan, which includes the following:

  • A complete manifest of all materials to be removed, including estimated weight, category (burned food, rotted food, construction debris, hazardous materials, refrigerants, solar panel materials), and proposed disposal destination;
  • A detailed removal schedule with phase milestones, not to exceed five days for full interior clearance;
  • Odor and vector control protocols to prevent secondary public health impacts to surrounding neighborhoods;
