Levi’s® Wear Longer Project. "The Levi’s® Wear Longer Project is a community engagement initiative that empowers the next generation to take fashion into their own hands — teaching young people how to repair, refresh and reimagine their clothes so they look better and last longer." - Through hands-on learning, free digital resources and community-based workshops, the Levi’s® Wear Longer project gives young people the practical skills needed to extend the life of the clothes they already own.
- New research commissioned by Levi’s® found that 41% of Gen Z lack any clothing repair or customization skills — from altering a hem to sewing a custom patch — compared to less than 25% of older generations who often learned these skills at home or in school. However, 35% of Gen Z say they would keep their clothing for longer if they knew how to alter or repair them.
- SINGER® is supporting the program in NYC by donating sewing machines to participating schools.
