Did you see the movie production trucks on Sherman Way? They had been at Next Chapter Books* and now they are at Henri's Restaurant*.
Filming at Henri's today is "Old Dads" a comedy, produced by Bill Burr's "All Things Comedy" and the announced cast includes:
Reign Edwards, Bill Burr, Bobby Cannavale, Bokeem Woodbine and Katie Aselton
*Next Chapter Books is a treasure trove of gently used books. The store is owned by a gently retired Navy Veteran and engineer from the Aerospace industry, Boyd Davis. His write up on LinkedIn includes this statement which held true in 2020 & 2021, as he was able to keep his store open to enable everyone staying at home to have something interesting to peruse or trade with their neighbors.
"In the very slow economy of 2013 NCB is one of the last companies standing in the storefront used book market in the greater Los Angeles area."

*Henri's Restaurant opened in 1972 by Henri Puetz, as a 50-seat food establishment in Canoga Park. The current owner is his son Mike, and it now seats 200 diners. During the shutdown in 2020-2021 of business Henri's erected tents in their parking lot to accommodate diners and offered pick up for others who preferred to not eat in public, even if outdoors.
They have a second location in Oxnard "Henri's Cafe" and a catering business, based around the corner on Owensmouth, Henri's Exquisite Catering. They express "All our food is made from scratch with tender, love, and care by our executive chef Cres." on the catering website. They were honored in 2017 by State Senator Henry Stern not only for their longevity but contributions to the community.
