Designed by local educators, these interdisciplinary workshops teach kids how to plant and grow their own organic fruits and vegetables. Kids will also learn about the critters that are essential to maintain a healthy garden, such as earthworms, ladybugs, moths, and other tiny creatures.
Hands-on garden and science projects are included in the workshops, along with an art component where kids learn how to draw and paint plants and flowers. Plus they will get the chance to contribute to a special mural that celebrates our Children's Garden.
All participants receive a takeaway plant to continue their gardening experiences at home.
The first workshop will be held on Thursday, June 30 from 9am - noon.
The second workshop will be held on Thursday, July 28 from 9am - noon.
