Recent porch theft statistics publicized originate from private sources. There are no citations from municipal or law enforcement data, which also do not isolate types of burglaries.

There were 160 million porch thefts, according to SafeWise/Vivint research, from November 2021 to November 2022 at a cost of about $19.5 billion. While the statistics are staggering, it should be noted the business of SafeWise is a product, safe storage box for your porch, to protect you from porch theft.

A survey of 1790 people from Finder via PureProfile, in September 2020, is the basis for their article and statistics. "Roughly 14% of Americans say they’ve been victims of package theft in the last 12 months, according to a recent survey by Finder."  An accumulation of statistics and surveys repeats the volume created by SafeWise.  12 Porch Pirate and Package Theft Statistics (2022 Update) | House Grail
