. The evening will feature Marshall’s orchestra, dance troupe, Shakespeare class, fashion class, jazz band, and the finals from the school’s Battle of the Garage Bands program. The event will also highlight music students from Marshall’s feeder schools, including King and Irving Middle School as well as Franklin and Ivanhoe Elementary Schools.

The event was originally the brainchild of Marshall alumnus and Los Angeles legend Tom LaBonge and remains a unique partnership between Marshall High, The Los Angeles Parks Foundation, Los Angeles City Council Districts 4 and 13, the Los Feliz Neighborhood Council, and The Greek Theatre. Marshall High is a comprehensive public high school of 2000 students, located in Los Feliz about a mile from The Greek. Though its iconic gothic tower sits in one of LA’s most scenic neighborhoods and its high-performing students are accepted into the nation’s most prestigious universities, 74% of the student body receives free or reduced-price lunch and 55% of the total student-body has another language spoken in their homes.
