Local Pastor Comes Alongside Friend in Illness

A local Pastor posted on social media updates on his water-fast, not posted as related to days leading up to Easter, as an effort to come-alongside a friend with a cancer diagnosis.

Not going to lie, the last 12 hours was tougher than I imagined. My daughter @kaylafrancisla knew that seeing king #4 would make me forget about the hunger pains. That grandson would brighten anyone’s day. Baby #Major is a major smiler! Will let you know if I make it to 72 full hours of fasting. You should do some research to understand all the benefits! Let’s gooooooo!"

Yesterday (April 7th) at 12:52 PM · Attempting to do a 3 day (72 hour) water fast. Doing it for a friend who is trying to fight off cancer. This friend was getting ready to do the CHEMO stuff and I suggested to look into the three day water only fast before you try the chemo route. And encouraged this person by saying, “If you do this, I will do it with you.” And a few days later my friend called and said, “when can you start?” So, my brothers and sisters, I am currently 24 hours into this fast. I still have 48 more hours to go. Not sure that I can hold off from food for two more full days. But I am committed to trying. But I am asking you to pray for my friend, that with God’s healing power and with fasting from food, that God will remove or heal all the bad cells in the body! Pray for healing and pray that we can go make it two more days!!!
