  • 4/23/25  Wednesday Registration is required. There are 30 in-person seats available. There are 75 online seats available.

In this workshop, you'll learn how to identify misinformation and "fake news" in today’s media landscape. Discover tools and techniques to fact-check sources, evaluate credibility and bias, and navigate misleading information online.

After this workshop, you will know how to:

  • Identify common types of misinformation and disinformation
  • Examine bias and accuracy of reporting by various news outlets
  • Apply lateral reading to evaluate the credibility of news stories and websites
