LAPC Athletics Names Coach Joe Arechiga as Head Women’s Volleyball Coach

Los Angeles Pierce College Athletics is pleased to announce that Joseph "Joe" Arechiga is the new interim head coach for our Women's Volleyball program.

Arechiga was an opposite hitter and middle for our team in 2014-15 and 2015-16. He played 38 matches, had a total of 188 kills, 14 assists, 13 service aces, and 80 digs.

He returned to be an assistant coach in 2019, and was named Men's Volleyball Head Coach in 2022.

Archeiga transitions into this role after leading our Men's Volleyball team for the past three seasons with passion and dedication.

Under his leadership, Coach Arechiga led the team to steady and impressive improvement, increasing the team's win total in each of his three seasons. The program also saw multiple players earn First Team All-Conference honors. We are confident he will bring the same energy, vision, and winning culture to the women's team.

Coach Arechiga will continue to coach the Men's program. Please join us in congratulating Coach on his new role!
