In the Spirit of Service, not Self. For God and Country. American Legion Auxiliary Unit 377 Sunland-Tujunga. A Community of Volunteers Serving Veterans, Military and their Families

"I believe that the least we can do to honor the men and women who have selflessly protected our rights and freedom is to give back however we can. Seeing the impact of volunteerism firsthand, on both the veterans and myself, has been truly rewarding. I am committed to continuing my work within the veteran community, as it brings me immense joy and fulfillment." Unit 377 Madam President Chandra Young

Bolton Hall, was dedicated in August 1913. Following the war the American Legion purchased it. Encouraged by a steady influx of new residents, town leaders sought and gained incorporation for Tujunga in 1925. This centrally located building made an ideal City Hall. It was rented for a number of years and eventually purchased for $15000. All city business was transacted herein, and with the acquisition from Glendale of two iron cells for the nominal sum of $1.00, one of the added rooms became the town jail. Following the annexation to Los Angeles in 1932 Bolton Hall housed Los Angeles' Department of Building and Safety as well as its Health Department. The American Legion Auxiliary was founded in 1919, with the mission to support The American Legion by honoring the sacrifice of all those who have and currently serve our nation. We fulfill that objective yet today as we enhance the lives of our veterans, the military, and their families, both at home and abroad.
