Please note that it is illegal for persons under 18 years of age to operate a bicycle, scooters, skateboard, roller skates or in-line skates without the use of a helmet.

The Camarillo Police Department and the Pleasant Valley Lions Club have once again partnered to provide helmets to children in Camarillo.

The Camarillo Police Department partnered with the Pleasant Valley Lions Club to purchase additional helmets to provide residents free of charge, for those families of children who may not be able to afford it. On 09/15/2025, members from the Pleasant Valley Lions Club came to the Camarillo Police Station and graciously donated 50 bicycle helmets. The helmets will be distributed as needed to children in the city of Camarillo who need this vital piece of safety equipment. The helmets come in the color gray and are available in all different sizes.

The Camarillo Police Department would like to thank the Pleasant Valley Lions Club for their continued partnership and generous donation. We love to see our children riding bikes, skateboards, or other self-powered modes of transportation around town and having fun; we just want everyone to be safe while doing it.
