Two Afternoon Readings: Our Man in Santiago

Image

Thanks to the generosity of television producer and playwright Mark Wilding we're inviting you to a special reading of his play Our Man in Santiago--absolutely free, with the usual library perks thrown in. The playwright treats us to a hilarious comedy and political farce that is, delightfully, a laugh-fest and more.

An apparently hapless newbie CIA agent is bossed by a cynical supervisor and answerable to no less than President Nixon, seconded by Henry Kissinger.

Loosely inspired by the Nixon Administration's failed attempt to remove Salvador Allende, the playwright leaves no comic vein untapped as Daniel and Jack aided and abetted by hotel maid Maria bumble through their awesome assignment.

Our cast; Ben Birmingham, Edward Giron, Mark Irvingsen, Angelina Ramirez, Jesse White. Narrator Jessica Hendra

The play had its theatrical debut at Theatre West in 2021

Two afternoon readings Saturday and Sunday October 25 & 26 at 2 pm. Topanga Library 122 N. Topanga Canyon Boulevard
