Big news: Classical California KUSC and Classical California KDFC have officially come together as one station: Classical California.
This merger brings our hosts, music, and local arts communities across Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, and beyond together under one harmonious umbrella: on-air, online, and across all our digital platforms.
As California’s only 24/7 public radio service devoted entirely to classical music and the arts, this unification strengthens our ability to serve our 1.6+ million listeners and reach even more people who could use a little more beauty in their day.
You’ll continue to hear the same beloved hosts and programs you count on. We have a few new features coming and a refreshed host schedule that includes all our hosts across the state.
Check out the new host lineup!
Our new website and app, launching in a few months, will make it easier than ever to explore music, discover stories, and connect with California’s vibrant arts scene.
This is an exciting milestone for classical music broadcasting. Together, the nation’s most-listened-to classical station (KUSC) and the third-most-listened-to (KDFC), from two of the world’s most iconic cultural cities, are joining forces to build a stronger future for this music and for the arts in our state.
Your local support makes it all possible. Our mission is for Classical California to remain a free, inspiring service for everyone who loves this music, and everyone who will soon discover it.
