LA City specific first day of results did not appear on the City/County website but rather only the Secretary of State website. The County website is posting results after 4pm daily.
Headlines scream various conclusions which are designed to inflate the clicks, clicks increase advertising revenue.

- Ballots cast in Vote by Mail precincts are counted in the first bulletin
- These tallied Vote by Mail precincts are reflected in the "Precincts Reporting" figure.
- This would suggest the precincts that do not have a designated polling station nearby
- There are 865 Vote-by-Mail precincts.

Voter Registration Statistics :: California Secretary of State
The California Secretary of State is required by law to produce a Report of Registration detailing voter registration levels throughout California at specific times prior to each statewide election and once during odd numbered years.
Los Angeles County had 24,469 pre-registrants. Voters who will be 18 on Election Day are included in active registration statistics, but remain pre-registrants until their 18th birthday.
