9/11 Memorial Walk at Shepherd Church: Sept 5-13th

Image

Join us for a moving and meaningful walk through our 9/11 Memorial Walk as we honor the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Each of the 2,977 American flags represents one victim and is marked with a colored ribbon identifying where they served or where they lost their life: red for firefighters and emergency responders, blue for police officers, green for those who died at the Pentagon, yellow for civilians in the World Trade Center, and purple for those aboard the four airplanes.

These are not just numbers, they were mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, friends and neighbors. They went to work, boarded flights, and served their communities, never imagining what that day would bring. We invite you to walk among the flags, pause in remembrance, reflect on the sacrifices made, and help ensure that the stories of those 2,977 individuals are never forgotten.
