US SBA & Dept of Defense Sign Partnership at Reagan Library

The signing of a letter-of-intent between the Small Business Admin (SBA) & Dept of Defense's newly-established Office of Strategic Capital occurs in Simi Valley rather than DC.

During a separate and special Saturday morning event at the Reagan National Defense Forum, the Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman will sign a letter of intent signifying the partnering of SBA and DoD’s newly-established Office of Strategic Capital.

Lloyd J. Austin III is the 28th secretary of defense, sworn in on Jan. 22, 2021. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., Austin served 41 years in uniform, retiring as a four-star Army general after three years as commander of U.S. Central Command.
