The Informed Citizen Speaker series is proud to announce that Michael Shellenberger will be speaking at St. Rose of Lima, Simi Valley, Friday October 17, 2025 at 7pm.

Michael D. Shellenberger is an American author and a leading investigative journalist who has broken major stories on crime and drug policy; homelessness; Amazon deforesation; rising climate resilience, growing eco-anxiety; the U.S. government's role in the fracking revolution, and climate change and California fires.

He is the first endowed professor at the University of Austin, serving as CBR Chair of Politics, Censorship, and Free Speech. He also founded the online newsletter Public and he has author books, such as Apocalypse Never, San Fran-Sicko, Pathocracy, and Breakthrough.

There are a limited number of VIP tickets for $100. These tickets include a meet and greet the speaker cocktail hour hosted by Fr. Joe Shea at 5:30pm in the parish hall.
