Simi Probation Appointment Leads to Discovery of 115lbs of Controlled Substances

On 5-29-26 around 1:00 PM, the Ventura County Probation Department along with the Simi Valley Police Department PROS Officer, contacted Jason Klausmeyer for a probation appointment. Klausmeyer was dropped off by his girlfriend, April Baird, in his vehicle.

Deputy Probation Officers and our SVPD PROS Officer conducted a search of Klausmeyer’s vehicle where they located two kilograms of Ketamine and US Currency exceeding $8,000.

SVPD Special Investigations Unit responded and ultimately obtained search warrants for Klausmeyer’s residence and storage units in San Clemente, CA.

At the conclusion of the warrant service over 115 pounds of controlled substances were seized, including

  • 85,000 counterfeit Adderal pills (Methamphetamine)
  • 25,000 MDMA pills, 
  • 30 pounds of Ketamine
  • 1 pound of Fentanyl
  • 7 pounds of Cocaine
  • 10 pounds of Psilocybin. 

The street value of the seized drugs is approximately $2.1 million.

Klausmeyer and Baird were arrested and booked in jail for drug trafficking charges.
