Gabriel Daniel Fernandez was born on February 20, 2005. This year would have been his 18th birthday.
We will once again gather to celebrate Gabriel’s life on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Noon at his Memorial Tree in Palmdale. As a community, we should never forget Gabriel.
When Gabriel needed it most, no one was there to hold him, to love him, to caress him, and to just tell him “everything will be alright.”

"To me, however, Gabriel will always be an example of courage. His case, his life, his death, and his trial will always be with his family, with my family, and with the community. No matter what any one person tries to do, he will never be forgotten. He has made me a better person, a better father, and a better prosecutor.
I have tried to stay true to Gabriel’s legacy by continuing the fight for justice for many more child victims. We all need to keep doing our part. Children are our future. They deserve and have a right to be safe at all times."
Curing Burnout, Hustle Culture, and Toxic Productivity: Deep dive with lead prosecutor from Gabriel Hernandez case Jonathan Hatami
"Jon was the lead prosecutor in the child murder/torture case featured in the Netflix documentary “The Trials Of Gabriel Fernandez.” This case shocked the nation as court documents, testimony and graphic images revealed the systematic, brutal torture and murder of 8-year-old Gabriel by his mother and her companion."
