Learn to grow your own food from a balcony to the backyard! Los Angeles is a fantastic climate that allows us to grow everything from tropical fruits like bananas and melons to cold-weather crops like beets and Brussels sprouts. Whether you are a first-time gardener or a seasoned green thumb, join urban farmer and educator Elliott Kuhn for an in-depth presentation on how to start your journey from seed to table. Participants will possibly be treated to seedlings or fresh produce samples and can take select seeds home to create their own garden projects.
This NeiSci (Neighborhood Science) program was made possible with the generous support of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles and is part of the 2023 LA BioBlitz Challenge.
