About this plenary session:

Across the OECD* alone, more than 80 'net-zero missions' have been adopted across 20 countries that target large reductions in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. Using as a frame the ongoing development at IIPP of a Public Sector Capability Index and bringing to the fore this wealth of experience of driving these net zero missions, the IIPP 2024 Forum presents an interactive session 'Think like a Mission Manager' focused on fostering knowledge exchange and peer-learning among policymakers and practitioners, dealing with similar challenges in strengthening their organizational capabilities for the green transition.

Join our expert panel of scholars and policy makers including Stephen O’Driscoll, National Challenge Fund Manager at Science Foundation Ireland, Marjolein van Splunder, Senior Policy Advisor in Energy Innovation at the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Anette Engelund-Friis, Innovation Fund Denmark, Mathieu Brandibat, Coordinator of the national strategies at the General Secretariat for Investment (SGPI), Rainer Kattel, IIPP Co-Deputy Director and Professor of Innovation and Public Governance, and Iacopo Gronchi Senior Policy Expert and PhD candidate at UCL IIPP.
