Join Next 10 for an interactive presentation of the California Budget Challenge on Thursday, July 17th at 11am PT to learn more about the 2025-26 state budget and the priorities of lawmakers.

The interactive webinar will provide background information on the final 2025-26 California budget and present options that were considered this year in the Legislature and the Governor's proposed budgets. Participants will be able to vote on these proposals and craft their own version of the state budget.

Each year the Governor and Legislature work together to pass the state’s budget that determines how taxes will be spent on state-funded programs like education, healthcare, corrections, and human services through the state's General Fund. The California Budget Challenge simulates this process by presenting spending and revenue options to choose from in order to create your own state budget.
