Syphilis Outbreak Strategy Project Grant Agreement
Recommendation:
- Authorize the Director of Public Health to accept and sign a Grant Agreement (GA),
- received from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for the term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027,
- at a maximum obligation of $11,871,681,
- to support implementing the Syphilis Outbreak Strategy Project (Project),
- that includes innovative and impactful syphilis and congenital syphilis prevention and control activities
- with a focus on disproportionately impacted populations,
- with the general terms and conditions that are incorporated into the GA to include
- provisions requiring the County to indemnify the State against all claims and losses related to this Grant
- and to waive all claims and recourse against the State related to this Project;
- and accept future GAs and/or amendments from CDPH that are consistent with the requirements of the GA that extends the term or funding at amounts to be determined by CDPH,
- reflect revisions to the award’s terms and conditions to include, but not be limited to,
- the rollover of unspent funds,
- redirection of funds,
- and/or an increase or decrease in funding. (Department of Public Health)
