Birmingham Hospital Veterans Hall is a place where our Military (Veterans) can go and their families, we also have connections where they can go if in need of help, other veterans are always there if you need someone to talk to, we have Taco Tuesdays for $7.00 a Taco Dinner, also on Fridays we have Dinners.

We take donations and deliver them to the Veterans Hospital and the West Los Angeles Veterans Hospital, we also have the Toy Drive every year starting in August to December 18, and give the toys to the Highway Patrol, Fire Departments, and Toys for Tots.

The 77-year-old Birmingham Veterans Hall and five-acre land were purchased and donated in 1947 by World War II disabled American veterans, their families, and friends, including 1930s child star and former U.S. ambassador, Shirley Temple Black, whose brother was wounded in the battle of Iwo Jima. The property was recently added to the City of Los Angeles’s list of Historic-Cultural Monuments.  BHVH |    

History - BH Chapter 73 Veterans Hall

In WW2, this was the 10-acre Veteran Administration Rehabilitation Center for our wounded servicemen from the Pacific Theater, In 1946, local disabled veterans raised the money to purchase the 10 acres. They sold 5 acres as home lots and used the proceeds to maintain the Buidling, pool and outdoor venue. We are an independent Veteran 504(c) 19 open for membership to Veterans, their families, and to those who support Veterans and our Constitution. We offer our facility to all Veteran organizations and to local community events.
