A statement has not been released by members of the King Nutronics staff or family concerning the future of the structure.  While phone connections were still working, most likely they were routed to home-based offices; employees were not privy or at will to disclose information.

King Nutronics, has provided high quality, accurate test instruments and equipment at the Woodland Hills location for over 40 years. They previously were located in the founders garage from 1958 to 1960, then Van Nuys from 1960 to 1969 . Their website indicates their clients include  Defense, Aircraft, Avionics, Petrochemical, and Utility industries.

A back page of the website details the history of King Nutronics: including its name being decided by the founder J. Robert (Bob) King and his wife Adele.  Mr. King passed away November 29, 2012. His daughter Leslie King is the CEO and his son-in-law, Robert Welther, is the President.

They decided on the name King Nutronics—part space age, the “nu” signifying a new kind of calibration equipment. Adele designed the logo.

The significance of his venture in 1958 into test instruments and calibration services was

For the first time, Navy ships did not have to come to port to get their instruments calibrated but could bring their calibration equipment on board.

Also, according to the King Nutronics website

  • their calibration laboratory is environmentally controlled in compliance with ISO 10012 and applicable requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 17025:2017, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994.
  • they are the leader in pressure, temperature, torque, and force measurement for the Defense, Aircraft, Avionics, Petrochemical, and Utility industries

The significance of King Nutronics to the west SFV goes beyond what the instruments they produced, the quality of employees they trained who started their own venture or positively impacted other companies is noteworthy.  We wish them the best going forward.
