Volunteer Opportunity for Mayor's Crisis Response Team

Training for Mayor’s Crisis Response Team (CRT) begins March 21st. It is a volunteer organization committed to providing resources and support to survivors of crisis situations in Los Angeles

CRT members are volunteers who respond to traumatic incidents at the request of the Los Angeles Police and Los Angeles Fire Departments. 

The CRT provides immediate on-scene crisis intervention and acts as a liaison between victims, survivors, and emergency personnel. Referrals are also given to victims and their families affected by death, violent crimes, or traumatic incidents. 

These incidents include:

  • Homicide
  • Suicide
  • Serious traffic collisions
  • Natural deaths
  • Multi-casualty incidents.
