Disrupt Crime. 368 Arrests & 131 Rescues During 9th California Operation Reclaim & Rebuild

Image

National Human Trafficking Awareness Month was the focus & impetus of Operation Reclaim & Rebuild resulting in 368 arrests and 131 rescues across California.

More than 100 federal, state, and local agencies, and task forces across nine California counties participated in Operation Reclaim & Rebuild as a part of National Human Trafficking Awareness Month. The January 22nd - January 28th focus enabled 368 arrests and 131 rescues.  However, this is a significant decrease in arrests from 2020 and 2021.  This might suggest the repeated annual effort is sending a message to traffickers to leave the area in February or not come to California.

National Human Trafficking Prevention Month - United States Department of State

A social media post 2/5/22 from @LAPDHQ summarized their weeks activities. "Disrupt crime" is a succinct and worthwhile summation of the work of law enforcement.

"LAPD officers worked diligently to
arrest criminals,
disrupt crime,

and invested time connecting with the community."
