CSUN Spring Registration

Starting Oct. 12 and after, eligible new and continuing students will receive an email reminder to get ready for spring 2024 advisement and registration.  The "Spring 2024 Registration Information" email includes news and any updates.

Registration Calendar

There are three registration periods in the fall, spring and summer terms.

  • Registration-by-Appointment — By appointment only
  • Nonrestrictive Registration — No appointment necessary
  • Late Registration/Schedule Adjustment — Starts the first weekday of classes

Early Registration and Wait Listing begin. Wed., Nov. 1, 2023
Registration-by-Appointment. Maximum load: 17 units from the start* From your registration appointment through Mon., Dec. 11, 2023
Eligible CSUN students may enroll in one CSU Fully Online Course at another campus Beginning Mon., Jan. 8 through Jan. 27, 2024
Nonrestrictive Registration. No appointment needed. Maximum load: 17 units* Tues., Dec. 12, 2023 through Sun., Jan. 21, 2024
Repeating courses is permitted beginning: Tues., Dec. 12, 2023
Wait listing period** From your registration appointment through Sun., Jan. 28, 2024, 11:59 pm

*Students in good standing may enroll in 17 units maximum as soon as registration begins (15 units for graduate students). For exceptions, see Enrollment Limits.

**You can wait list for closed classes—up to 13 wait-listed units—as soon as registration begins. For help, see the guide Wait List for Closed Classes.
