The Los Angeles County Fire Department Girls’ Fire Camp was developed with the goal of exposing youth, between the ages of 9 to 17, to the many career opportunities available within the Department.
Camp participants enjoy a full day of activities ranging from:
- A light workout.
- Discussion groups with firefighters, lifeguards, dispatchers, and public safety professionals.
- Available career opportunities and youth programs.
- Equipment demonstrations.
- Fire Department tour.
As the Department continues to work to promote an inclusive culture in the fire service, we are committed to inspiring our next generation of firefighters.
Date: Saturday, October 5, 2024
Time: 9:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. (optional hands-on skills demo from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM)
Location: County of Los Angeles Fire Department, 1320 North Eastern Avenue, Los Angeles, California 90063
Age Group: 9 to 17 years old
Special Note for Parents: Parents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to comfortably sit and enjoy watching the youth participate in the day's activities.
Please note: Participants are kindly requested to bring their own packed lunch as meals will not be provided.
