American Idol broadcasted the Spring 2025 season finale Sunday night. The three finalists were presented to their home town audience, with parades and a concert. The summary of their journey from audition to making it to the finale was presented in the filmography. Brianna Nix, of Denton, Texas, during her audition introduced herself as "just a stay-at-home mom" to which Carrie Underwood, this year's newest judge, corrected her by saying you are not "just a....".
During Brianna's segment about returning home to Denton, a group of women from the local "Mom Walk Collective" warmly greeted their fellow mom-walker and let her know she was an inspiration.
"The Mom Walk Collective" originated in Southern California by Jamie O'Neal and according to her website:
"Jamie founded TMWC on accident, when she was just 3 months postpartum, and had quickly realized how lonely motherhood could be.
She took to TikTok, asked any local moms to meet up for a coffee and a walk, and had incredible conversations with the 2 moms that showed up. Shortly after, her meetups had 60 moms coming, with moms all over the country asking to do the same.
The Mom Walk Collective was officially launched with 30 cities across the US, and quickly rose to having launched over 350 cities across the US, Canada, and beyond!"
