On Sunday, March 17, from 1-5 p.m., Ready for Reseda: Explore the Corridor presented by Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) and powered by CicLAvia, celebrates the recent transportation safety improvements along Reseda Boulevard. The City of Los Angeles has reconstructed Reseda Blvd as part of the Complete Streets Program to improve safety and accessibility for all. The project will improve safety for people walking, biking, and driving along the corridor, and make the street greener and more comfortable for residents, businesses, and customers.

This free event will feature a series of guided group bike rides from BikeLA leading the bike tours that day along the new protected bike lanes and additional safety features on Reseda Boulevard, between Saticoy Street to the North and Reseda Park to the South, highlighting the recent transportation safety improvements. Reseda Boulevard will remain open to cars, and we encourage participants to explore the area safely. Bicycles, roller skates, skateboards, scooters, strollers, walkers, and runners are all welcome. There will also be two Hubs, one at the north end of Reseda Park and the other at Reseda and Saticoy, with music, street games, bike rentals, free pedicab rides, food trucks, freebies, art workshop and other activities for all ages and abilities. For a full list of activities, visit ciclavia.org.

The City of LA is committed to redesigning streets for the comfort and safety of pedestrians and cyclists in order to reduce fatalities and severe injuries caused by car crashes. Through data-driven analysis, community engagement, and innovative solutions, LADOT and the Bureau of Engineering have transformed Reseda Blvd with enhanced infrastructure, including improved crosswalks and bike facilities, protected left turn signals, and sidewalk and pavement repairs.

LADOT's mission is to lead transportation planning, project delivery, and operations in the City of Los Angeles. The department works together and collaborates to deliver a safe, livable, and well-run transportation system in the city and region.
