Join a museum educator on a family friendly trail through an ancient oak grove, and learn about the Chumash indigenous past! Along the way you will learn about local Chumash history, fire ecology, and how our museum came to be. Remember to wear good shoes and dress according to the weather.
All ages are welcome.
The hike is level: mild-moderate. The trail is relatively flat with a slight incline and is about 1/4-mile long.
Please note, in order to preserve a safe and clean environment for our visitors and the wildlife that lives in the park, NO DOGS, except service animals, are allowed on the museum grounds or trails.
Scholarships are available for tribal members and Native community members. Please email visit@chumashmuseum.org
Free Parking. There is a large parking lot in front of the museum.
