Learn all about forensic genealogy and its most common uses. Law enforcement, for example, is using genetic genealogy databases to solve decades-old serious crimes by matching familiar DNA connections to perpetrators and their family members. The U.S. Department of Defense is using forensic genealogy to identify the remains of American servicemen listed as Missing In Action or Prisoners of War in order to provide them with proper military burials. Forensic genealogy is all being used in citizenship & immigration cases, in missing & unknown heir cases, and in adoption research.
