We hope you will help us commemorate the start of a new academic year by joining us for the 2025 Founder’s Day event. People throughout our Pepperdine community—students, faculty, staff, alumni, local dignitaries, and many other friends—will come together to honor George Pepperdine and his vision and to wish our students well as they embark on another year of discovery.

There will be music, an address from President Jim Gash announcing “Purpose” as the theme for the new school year—and, of course, Willie the Wave and plenty of Pepperdine pride! You’re also invited to join us for Crumbl cookies at a reception outside in the courtyard following the ceremony. A livestream will also be available for those who cannot attend in person.
