Johnny Cash at Folsom & San Quentin Exhibit

Widely known as the godfather of music photography, Jim Marshall (1936–2010) maintained a 50-year career that resulted in more than 500 album covers, an abundance of magazine covers, and some of the most celebrated images in blues, jazz, country, and rock and roll. Pepperdine Libraries is honored to showcase a selection of Marshall's photographs of Johnny Cash's historic Folsom and San Quentin prison concerts in 1968 and 1969.

As part of the exhibition, join us in the Payson Library Surfboard Room on Thursday, January 12, 4–5:30 PM, for Faith, Reconciliation, and Flourishing: A Symposium on Prison Reform, hosted by the Center for Faith and the Common Good and Pepperdine Libraries.
