1989 vs 2023 Oat Mountain Snow: Social Media

Image

Nature enthusiast Ron Foster posted a video of his ride through the snow on Oat Mountain, above the 118 off of De Soto. Sharing on social media was nonexistent in 1989.

Ron Foster posted his video on the Chatsworth Lake Manor Facebook Group an unbelievable view of the snow which had fallen through the night and early morning.

The last time it snowed upon Oat Mountain was January and February 1989.  The world had Microsoft Windows but none of the ubiquitous means to show & tell our lives existed.  We sent emails, maybe with an attachment of our escapades or we invited our friends over to our house to show them our important images.  Blackberries were the hot item and quite pricey.  Computer History for 1989 (computerhope.com).
