Background: May 7th, 2022, three children were shot and killed in West Hills, the night before Mother's Day. . A May 2022 L.A. Times account reveals a 16-year-old, reported to be her son also, "helped to restrain one of the children who fought Flores during the attack."
The mother of seven children in the initial period after their murder, is reported to have admitted murdering Natalie Flores, 12, Kevin Yanez, 10, and Nathan Yanez, 8. Federico Yanez-Saldivar, the father of Kevin and Nathan Yanez, lives out of state. A fundraiser for costs to transport all three children to Kansas and burial expenses was established by an Aunt.
Initial details from the LAPD press release indicate the unnamed 16-year-old, was arrested and held for one count of 187(a) PC, Murder.
