Excerpt from 6/12/25 Naval Air Facility El Centro Facebook post:

"We really need all hands on deck to help inform, educate and influence the behavior of our Sailors and Marines who take to the roads daily. These crashes impact our Sailors’ and Marines’ families, friends, colleagues and mission readiness. We cannot continue to lose one more shipmate. We’re just getting started with the 101 Critical Days of Summer…now is the time to get after these often-preventable mishaps.

The Naval Enterprise has had a sobering week with traffic safety. Last week, we lost eight Sailors and Marines from PMV-2 (motorcycle) and PMV-4 (motor vehicle) crashes. The overall number of non-fatal crashes is even higher. "

The map is a visual representation that provides a cumulative update of the fiscal year’s PMV-2 crashes, both fatal and non-fatal, across the naval enterprise.
