Line Fire - Faith Filled Residents Ask for Prayers

Image

Please pray for "....the fire fighters are spread thin, pray for them and their safety, trying to fight both fires."

Each & every time the summer fires roar through parts of California a new group of people are upended - they pack up their belongs and pray they will have a house to return to in a day or two or even a week.
It is the faithful and hard work of the firefighters, enveloped by the grace of God, who enable thousands of people each year to return to a home.

The devastation of a raging fire through the mountain communities is beyond the short time news reports give to the story.

From local Pastors:

PLEASE PRAY NOW! As of 9/10/24 @ 1:30 PM. Green Valley, where the camp is located, is under immediate evacuation and threat. The fire is coming up to Running Springs and Snow Valley. We need the Lord to cause this fire to cease. Thank you for praying for the residents and our camp.NEW 9/9/24

UPDATE: According to the authorities, the wind has shifted and the Fire has begun to turn back in the direction of the camp. Big Bear has now been ordered to evacuate. There are many residential homes in danger as well. Please pray again. We know that we have a God who can cause the storm to be calm!

UPDATE: The Line Fire is not contained, but the winds have shifted the fire away from the camp being in danger at this point. Last night, after we began to pray we saw a strong rain come that saved the town of Running Springs, according to the fire chief. This was God’s protection as a result of our prayers. There is still much danger for so many, but for now the camp is ok. Bob & Karen have given tremendous leadership! Keep praying! 9/8 @ 6:15 PM.Pray with us as the Line fire in San Bernardino County is affecting many residents including our beloved Camp Cedar Crest. The camp and surrounding communities (Running Springs, Arrowbear) are currently under mandatory evacuation orders. The team is working to help get the 450 campers down the mountain. Although the fire is not immediately affecting the camp, it’s moving quickly towards it. ....  Pray for the fire to die and pray for safety for all the campers, staff and residents who are having to leave! God has always protected the camp and we are contending that He will do it again!
