Oct. 16, 2024 The Superior Court of Los Angeles County announced a phased implementation schedule for the expansion of the LACourtConnect (LACC) 3.0 platform for attorneys and litigants wishing to appear remotely -
Launch dates:
- Family Law - November 1st
- Civil (including Small Claims and Unlawful Detainers) - November 15th
- Traffic hearings - November 22nd
LACC 3.0, first launched in the Court’s Probate Division on Sept. 6, offers attorneys and litigants greater convenience and flexibility in managing court appearances remotely with a simplified interface and enhanced functionality.
No Advanced Registration Required
LACC 3.0 eliminates the existing pre-registration requirement, allowing participants to check-in on the same day a few minutes prior to the scheduled hearing. Therefore, no advanced registration will be required for:
• Family Law hearings scheduled on or after Nov. 1.
• Civil (including Small Claims and Unlawful Detainer) hearings scheduled on or after Nov. 15.
• Traffic hearings scheduled on or after Nov. 22.
Litigants visiting LACC’s existing registration page will be automatically redirected to the LACC 3.0 platform for same-day check-in.
Additional Resources:
The following resources are available to assist court users in navigating LACC 3.0.
• Updated reference guide.
• Video tutorial.
• Technical Specifications Document.
The platform promotes convenience and choice, offering audio and video remote appearance options, which eliminate the need for driving, parking, and childcare costs, while saving commute time to courthouses. LACC 3.0 is compatible with Windows PC, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices that support Microsoft Teams.
