LA Court Remote Platform Phased Launch Begins Nov 1st

The Superior Court of L.A. County phased implementation schedule of LACourtConnect (LACC) 3.0 platform for attorneys & litigants to appear remotely, begins November 1st, Friday.

Oct. 16, 2024 The Superior Court of Los Angeles County announced a phased implementation schedule for the expansion of the LACourtConnect (LACC) 3.0 platform for attorneys and litigants wishing to appear remotely -  

Launch dates: 

  • Family Law - November 1st
  • Civil (including Small Claims and Unlawful Detainers) - November 15th
  • Traffic hearings - November 22nd

LACC 3.0, first launched in the Court’s Probate Division on Sept. 6, offers attorneys and litigants greater convenience and flexibility in managing court appearances remotely with a simplified interface and enhanced functionality.

No Advanced Registration Required
LACC 3.0 eliminates the existing pre-registration requirement, allowing participants to check-in on the same day a few minutes prior to the scheduled hearing. Therefore, no advanced registration will be required for:
• Family Law hearings scheduled on or after Nov. 1.
• Civil (including Small Claims and Unlawful Detainer) hearings scheduled on or after Nov. 15.
• Traffic hearings scheduled on or after Nov. 22.

Litigants visiting LACC’s existing registration page will be automatically redirected to the LACC 3.0 platform for same-day check-in.

The platform promotes convenience and choice, offering audio and video remote appearance options, which eliminate the need for driving, parking, and childcare costs, while saving commute time to courthouses.
