A Fire Suppression Aide performs a variety of tasks requiring arduous manual labor in the prevention, suppression & control of watershed, brush, & forest fires.

Filing will begin on 11/20/24, at 12:30 P.M. (PT). Filing will be suspended after the first 1,500 applications are received or by 12/5/24, at 5:00 P.M. (PT), whichever occurs first.

Annual Salary: $39,279.36 - $52,794.72

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from high school or its equivalent, or higher from an accredited* college or university.**

Successful completion of the mandatory department sponsored in-service training program is required prior to final appointment.

The resulting eligible list for this examination will be used to fill Fire Suppression Aid vacancies within the County of Los Angeles Fire Department, as they occur.
