Tips for your trip:

🌺 Bring good walking shoes as there is so much to explore. For babies/toddlers it is stroller friendly. You can also pay a small fee to take a tractor pulled wagon into the fields. Although, the walk was more than doable for us!

🌺 Get a scavenger hunt passport for kids at the entrance. My son loved hunting for all the stamps! Plus, completion gives you a dollar off of the their rock mining station should you choose to participate.

🌺 Take time to walk through the other attractions from the orchid greenhouse to the butterfly sculpture garden to the playground.

🌺 Bring snacks! There are things to eat on site, but we are big on bring your own to save money. And trust me, you will be there long enough to need them!

What do you think- could you launch into spring here?

For over sixty years, Mother Nature has transformed the rolling hills of North San Diego County into one of the most spectacular and coordinated displays of natural color and beauty anywhere in the world. The 55-acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers that make up The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch® in Carlsbad, California, are in bloom for approximately six to eight weeks each year – from early March through early May – literally bringing the famous fields back to life. This annual burst of color, which has become part of the area’s local heritage, also is one of nature’s official ways of announcing the arrival of spring here in Southern California.

The Flower Fields are an alcohol and tobacco-free environment. Pets, Emotional Support Animals, Drones, Balloons, and Bicycles are also not permitted.
